Important developments
Changes to the Technical Manual Parts 1 and 2 on 1 June
On 1 June 2009 updated versions of the Technical Manual Part 1 and 2 will be published on the Land Registry website.
There are 3 main changes to Part 1:
- Reference has been added to the new Land Registry "business gateway", which will allow holders of a network access agreement to lodge electronic charges and use some related services through an XML interface using their case management system (CMS), if the service is offered by the customer's CMS supplier. The pilot service begins in June, and we anticipate that more customers will be able to use the service as the pilot progresses.
- The section on the responsible person has been amended to reflect a change in the way that the responsible person report is made available. From 1 June the responsible person will have online access to reports going back one calendar month, instead of being sent a daily report of the administrator's activity by email.
- Thirdly, a change will be made to the hours of operation for e-documents, to cover an anomaly that has been identified due to the different operating hours of our various e-services and our daylist. There was a small risk of the anomaly affecting the priority of applications. Later this year, we aim to bring the operating hours for all our e-services into line. In the meantime the operating hours for e-documents is reduced from 04.00 - 01.00 to 04.00 - 00.00 (midnight) commencing on 1 June.
Part 2 of the Technical Manual will include a new section on "business gateway".
