Human Resources (HR) Strategy
Discussions with trade unions about the future, with
implementation of the Land Registration Act 2002 and the development
of electronic conveyancing, have continued as we take forward our plans.
The joint staffing review signals similar forward needs to those identified
in our Quinquennial review. The position will be kept under rolling
review as future systems develop. We have opened consultations with
union representatives on evolving roles within operational areas, to
ensure that we have the structure and organisation in place to meet
the challenges ahead. At the same time we will continue to offer meaningful
and attractive career opportunities.
In February we launched a major IT project, 'HR Advance',
that will modernise our existing HR and pay systems. The project will
deliver modern, efficient and value-added HR processes that support
the business in delivering its operational targets. It will ensure professional
and comprehensive HR services are available to our staff.
