E-Service Delivery

The Prime Minister's Target for Electronic Service Delivery

We are on target for full electronic delivery of all our key services by 2005. We already have a wide range of services available for ordering and delivery online.

Business customers can view registers of title and title plans, lodge Official Searches and order Office Copies from both Registration of Title and Land Charges Departments. They can also lodge simple transactions that are not reliant on legal documentation or signatures, such as changes of address, registration of the death of a joint proprietor, and cautions against dealings.

We will soon have scanned over 90 million pages of deeds referred to on the Land Register and, from October 2002, we will be making these available for viewing by our Land Registry Direct account customers.

Towards the end of 2002, we will launch a new online service for viewing and downloading registers of title and title plans - with electronic payment by credit card. This will be our first use of electronic payment technology. Further new services are being made available as part of our e-conveyancing Programme.
